Low Voltage Lighting Systems
Add remote-control lighting to your home and you’ll not only enjoy increased energy savings, but you’ll also be able to turn lights on and off remotely, such as turning off downstairs lights from your bedside table or turning on every light in the house when you hear a late-night noise. Most systems require no rewiring. Experience maximum reliability and speed. Building a new house? Here’s a tip: Make sure the electrician is installing a neutral wire at all switch/dimmer locations, and you’ll be able to link every light in your house for easy ALL-OFF control when you leave.
One of the easiest ways to make your home smarter is to reduce the amount of energy wasted daily operations. Install lighting timers and programmable thermostat systems that operate only when you’re there to use them or put incandescent lights on dimmers so that lights aren’t running at full capacity. You can even take advantage of the sun’s power and install solar lighting, pool heaters, or even surveillance cameras!
